Manpower Recruitment Services
HR Services division provides Manpower Recruitment Services to Central and State Govt. organizations right from releasing job advertisements, collection of online /
offline applications, preliminary screening of candidates, conducting OMR based written examination, Skill Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Group Discussion and
final Interview. Many of the public sector organisations and Government departments retain KITCO as its reliable partner in their drive for headhunting. The HR services
division provides manpower recruitment services to organisations such as Cochin Shipyard Ltd., Vizhinjam International Seaports Ltd., Kannur International Airports
Ltd., National Health Mission- UP, etc.
Certification of Vocational Courses by KITCO- ASSOCHAM Consortium
The HR Services division has been undertaking various youth empowerment training programs for enabling the youth to attain wage employment in different sectors.
KITCO has been certifying vocational courses since 2001. In 2009, KITCO joined hands with ASSOCHAM - The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India to form KITCO-ASSOCHAM Consortium.
KITCO -ASSOCHAM Consortium offers Diploma, Advanced Diploma and Post Graduate Diploma in different sectors. These certifications enable the candidates to attain gainful employment in the private sector both within India and abroad. However, this certification is not recognized by Kerala State Public Service Commission or any other Government body.
Presently the Consortium offers the Diploma / PG Diploma courses in the following sectors.
- Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Interior Designing
- Material Handling Machine Maintenance
Entrepreneurship Development Programmes
KITCO, having started Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDP) in the year 1977, is acclaimed as one of the pioneers of Entrepreneurship Training in the country. Through more than 2300 Entrepreneurship/management development training programmes, it has imparted training to more than a lakh persons. The training programme provides total guidance on setting up of an industrial/ business unit. In addition to topics covering various aspects of starting an enterprise, the programmes feature interface with successful entrepreneurs and provide exposure to related industries including factory visits. Institutions such as EDI, Ni MSME, have empanelled KITCO as their Training Partner.
Skill Development Programmes
In addition to providing training in entrepreneurship, sector specific skill development training, skill up-gradation training, and technology clinics are unique programmes conducted by the division. Frequently organised programmes include sectors such as Food products/ processing, Readymade Garments/ Fashion Designing, Electronics, IT/ ITES, Automobile and Ayurvedic products.
Assessing Body of SDI Scheme for MES- NCVT Certification
KITCO is an Assessing Body under SDI-MES Scheme (Skill Development Initiative scheme based on Modular Employable Skills leading to NCVT certification), Govt. of India. The geographical jurisdiction includes Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep. KITCO has assessed around 90,000 candidates under this scheme.
KITCO has an ongoing programme for Handholding & Mentoring Services for the growth of MSME Units. This programme, ‘MSME- Nurture’ is designed to overcome various challenges faced by the units in MSME sector and accelerate their the growth.
‘MSME- Nurture’ intends to enable appreciable increase in turnover of struggling but
promising units and infusion of growth capital through VC/ PE Fund. The core
principle of this programme is to empower the units and thereby enhance their
performance. The services under MSME handholding would encompass the

(c) Branding, positioning and market development
(d) Training and staff development
(e) Growth and Diversification Advisory
The duration of handholding may vary from 06 months to 18 months, depending

3- Day residential Workshop for CEOs and Senior Executives
This workshop is designed so as to enable participants to appreciate the role of a CEO, understand, plan and communicate business goals for each stakeholders, Functions of the CEO in the Management Chain, Statutory roles as a CEO. Programme focuses on topics to enhance the value chain through new products and newer markets, Constructive appreciation of competition and market dynamics, Fine tuning marketing strategies for the existing businesses, Fundamental appreciation of finance and accounting for businesses with relevance to one’s own industry etc Programme highlights include effective management of conflicts at workplace, appreciation of labour- laws and compliances etc
Staff Training & Engagement Programme
Staff Training and Engagement Programme (STEP) is customized training programme aimed at staff development, enhanced team member engagement, improved sales effectiveness, and better supervisory skills. Duration of such programmes will vary from 05 days to 15 days in multiple modules at different intervals. The Staff Training and Engagement Programme includes Pre- Training Competency Assessment by Assessment Panel, Upskilling and post training assessment. During the training sessions, numerous interactive methods, including discussion sessions and surveys would be conducted to assess the learning outcome, based on which specific inputs to the candidates may be provided, time to time.

Employability Enhancement Certificate Programmes
KITCO conducts regular certificate programmes in emerging and demand oriented sectors to enhance the employability of graduates/ job aspirants. Such programmes are designed for 150 hrs at partnering institutes in the following sectors:

- Entrepreneurship Development Programme in Colleges
KITCO organizes 3 day awareness programme to a large batch of students making them aware of the systems in place to help aspirants; from that session move to a detailed workshop of 07 days for interested students. The workshop will be more elaborate and will focus on the ‘do’able things and also on building the confidence in the student to purse the entrepreneurial journey. The batch size for the workshop can be 24 to 30 students. The students after this workshop are expected to do a religious assessment of their abilities, passion and determination to choose entrepreneurship as their preferred future. Such students/ startups will be allowed to work in the campus for whom, a mentoring and handholding service will be extended by KITCO on a regular basis.
IEC Consultancy Services
KITCO was the IEC Consultant for the control of AIDS in Kerala State during the year 1998-99 to 1999-2000 on behalf of Kerala State AIDS Control Society, Govt. of Kerala. The project was funded by Department for International Development (DFID) and National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO).
The objectives of the project were:
Create General awareness on HIV/AIDS
- Impact on the attitude of the general populace towards the seriousness of
- AIDS and in support and understanding for those afflicted.
- Create an atmosphere for safe sexual practices
- Eradicate misconceptions about AIDS
The components of the project were the conduct of Social Research (Baseline study), Mass Media campaign, Development of advocacy materials, Development of training materials (including training manual, Flip charts, preparation of slides etc) & Training and Project Management.
